MUMO walking challenge

Between 12th April and 12 May 2021, a group of 18 enthusiastic and committed MUMO participants walked…. 3064.07 kilometres … as part of a steps challenge – well done to all involved. MUMO recognises and promotes the benefits of walking including:

  • Burning calories
  • Strengthening the heart
  • Easing joint pain
  • Boosting immunity
  • Boosting energy
  • Improving mood
  • Extending life
  • Toning legs
  • Creative thinking – walking can help people clear their heads and think clearly (from: https://www.healthline.com/health/benefits-of-walking)

After the challenge, participants made a donation of £185.00 to a local food bank – The People’s Kitchen (based at Farset International). A massive thank you and well done to all participants.
